Drawing & Mixed Media

When I create an image on paper, I try to visualize what I want to create; I have to know what I want to create what I want. I also have to know how I want others to look at it.

Sometimes I mindlessly start moving my hand across the paper and watch what it turns into..but I can't do it without an idea...however, sometimes the plan is bigger than that.

To me, art is not just the subject of a piece. It's the colors used, the canvas used, the weight of the artist's stroke. All this contribues to the whole thing...I try to keep this in mind always.
